Premier “Tin drum”

On May 26th and 27th, the Ilkhom Theatre will premiere "The Tin Drum" - a production based on Nobel prize laureaute, and German writer Günter Grass' novel, which brought him world fame. The movie with the same title won numerous prizes, some of which include an Oscar, and a Palme d'Or. "The Tin Drum" is a diary of a young boy named Oscar who became disillusioned in the life of adults and decided he would refuse to grow up. (more…)

“Solo for a woman with a piano”

"SOLO FOR WOMAN WITH PIANO" A fictional story about the rehearsals of Marlene Dietrich’s last concert. Many admirers of her talent convinced the "living legend" to come back to the scene and give one final concert. During rehearsal, Marlene begins to recall the most vivid scenes of her life, and how these moments are related her songs. (more…)

The play "Ghosts" was written by Henrik Ibsen in 1881. The characters in the play experience the highest peaks of passion and bitterly pay for them. Premier “CASTLE. K.”

Franz Kafka's unfinished novel entitled "Castle", is considered to be one of the most prominent and mysterious works of 20th century world literature. The book was first published in 1926 after the death of its creator, as did two of Kafka's other major works - "Process" and "America". "Castle" remained unfinished, leaving numerous questions unanswered: Is it a Castle or a Lock to which no one has yet found a key? The main character in the novel appears in an unnamed, geographically obscure village, and attempts to get inside the Castle with no luck. (more…)
