“THE SON”
The play “The Son” is named after the play by the iconic French playwright Florian Zeller and staged by Boris Gafurov.
Problems of fathers and children by Zeller is a detective story in which we cling to versions about suspected perpetrators, but each suspect turns out to have an iron alibi.
Behind the obvious “simplicity” lies a real tragedy that raises the eternal question “To be or not to be?”
Florian Zeller is a playwright and novelist, winner of the Molière Awards and the Prix Interallié. Media call Zeller “One of the hottest literary talents in France” (“The Independent”). According to the magazine “L’Express” F. Zeller and Y. Reza are “the best modern French playwrights”. Very soon Zeller became one of the most famous current authors, and his fame as a playwright stepped far beyond the borders of France.
