The “Ilkhom” Theater of Mark Weil and IlkhomJazzClub represent the Evgeny Pobozhiy Quartet.

On November 22nd at 18:30 on the stage of the theater will perform guitarist and composer Evgeny Pobozhy – he is the first Russian musician who was declared the winner of the 2019 Herbie Hancock International Jazz Competition, one of the most highly respected competitions in the world of jazz.

As a soloist of the Moscow Jazz Orchestra and the leader of his own band, Evgeny took part in many important events in the jazz world, including the world’s largest festivals (Rochester Jazz Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, Jazz Triumph etc.); he has performed at major jazz venues around the world (Blue Note jazz club, New York; Ronnie Scott’s; Blue Note, Beijing etc.).
The repertoire consists of Evgeny’s original compositions in the style of virtuoso jazz fusion. The quartet consists of Evgeny Pobozhy (guitar), Anton Davidyants (bass guitar), Alexander Murenko (drums) and Dmitry Mospan (saxophone).
