…This has been easy for the critic: they were all great without exception – the German and the American actors with their Puritanism, who although predominately focused on wordplay nonetheless gave truly inspiring performances; and the troupes from Uzbekistan and Israel, who intertwined both a mockery (farce) and a sacred seriousness. The latter, with their exceptional comic sense and charm, elicited a storm of applause.  The exceptional talent and joy of the performance created am overall wonderful evening of theatre, and a true soothing medicine for the heart.

Alfred Pfeifer. Recklinghausen Zeitung. Germany. 2001.
… The grumbler Toft was incorrect: in addition to many other things, this is also a highly amusing comedy.  Light and with little plot action, it resembles an ivory Chinese ball: where there is a ball hidden inside another, and inside another, and another… all inseparable from each other.  Same here: «a theater hidden inside theater», masquerades, buffoonery and continuous exchange of jeu d'esprit.

Alexandra Spiridonova. «Vecherniy Tashkent» (Evening Tashkent). 2001.
…Contemporary readers of the play call it the most feminist play known in history as well as the most mysterious Shakespearian comedy, as the author ultimately leaves it to us to answer its questions and decipher its riddles.  As it is typical for Shakespearean comedies, all thoughts are expressed brightly and paradoxically. Carnivals, masks, intrigues, confusion of disguises, delivery of letters to wrong addresses – is all quite standard for Shakespeare. But inside the dusky parks and suburban mansions where the action takes places in the scenes of the character’s meetings, there is also unexpected room for sadness, music, poetry, and all other intricacies that form the complex story of «Love’s labor lost».
