The Ilkhom theatre school of drama 
The Ilkhom Theatre, which proved itself as a high professional art centre with international reputation established the First non-state School of Drama based on the theatre in 1994. For the last years, the Ilkhom Theatre School of Drama proved itself as one of the most effective in professional education. The elaborated methodology of the school - the school of new type - is basing on international practice and professional experience of the Ilkhom Theatre, which attracted the high-qualified specialists of different subjects for work in the school. The masters of the school are leading teachers and culture benefactors of Uzbekistan as well as colleagues abroad - from School-partners of the Ilkhom Theatre in France, Germany, USA and Russia.

During three-years training, after the expiration of each semester (in total there are 6 semesters) - the School is holding tests, open lessons-exams, where leading specialists in educational and theatre art spheres of Tashkent are invited. Students are graded on the totalizing basis of open lessons-exams' and semester's results.

After the expiration of the third, probation year, two degree productions of different genres, styles and dramaturgy based as on classical as on modern play are produced. The productions are staged by specially invited professional directors.

Producing of two different productions is necessary for students in terms they could practice technical and style's features of the profession, it will give skills of work with different stage directions as well.

After the premiere of the second production the degree of drama theatre and film actor is conferred upon the students, as well as the letter of verification and Diploma of The Ilkhom Theatre School of Drama, confirming the degree's conferment, is delivered.

Application forms as for full cycle of training (two years) as for part training are considering.

Strategy and methodology of training.

During the training, the students learn disciplines directed on the developing of their natural creative and world outlook potential. There are most important special subjects prevail between them:

Acting   The subject, due to which students master the technique of professional skills in acting. Experiences the systems of Stanislavski, Michael Chekhov, Meyerhold and Grotovski. 

First level
Complex of exercises on attention, memory development, sense of rhythm and leading origin of each individual, feeling of oneself and a body in scenic space
Physical action with objects and without them in different situations;
Individual in "given circumstances";
Expression of inanimate object through the movement, facial expression and gesture;
Observation of characters of animals and human beings.

Second level
profound work on scenic image:
sketches based on a piece from belles-lettres;
sketches based on short pieces from drama plays.

Third level
work on complete image in a context of whole drama play - diploma production.

Special subject of Acting:   Masks, Clownery on the base of exercises' complex of Jacques Lees Lecoq School (France), based on Commedia Dell'Arte traditions.

Elocution. The element of acting giving an opportunity technically and grammatically correct to work on dramatic, literary and poetic text. The subject teaches to breathe correctly by delivery of text (cues and lines), to analyze action as in piece as of each image individually, to pronounce words correctly.

Movement, Sense of Rhythm, Acrobatics, Fencing   The Subject develops in a student movement expressiveness, movement thinking and improvisation, sense of rhythm. The subject gives an opportunity to students to acquaint with the development of Russian and Uzbek theatre art of different epochs: from Antiquity to contemporary forms of theatre. Students also get profound knowledge about Russian theatre of XVII - XX centuries and especially about main landmarks of "Golden period" of Russian theatre in the times of Konstantin Stanislavski, Vsevolod Meyerhold, Evgeniy Vakhtangov, Alexander Tairov.
