13 February – 1 April. A personal exhibition of Rustam Bazarov

THE EXHIBITION OF THE MONTH

Rustam Bazarov was born in 1968. He graduated from the Ostrovskiy Theater Artistic Institute (now Uyghur Institute of Arts), the Monumental Painting Department in 1995.

He realized his first personal exhibition in the Exhibition Hall of the Cinema House in 1993 when he was a student. Since 1996 Rustam started to paint a series of paintings in the manner of European primitivists, at the same time he was successfully working in the genre of caricature. In 1997 he started to be seriously engaged in monumental painting. Together with a big group of artists, he realized paintings in a new zoo of Tashkent. In 2005-2006 Rustam made wall paintings in the Chelsea Pub and Caravan Restaurant as well as private houses in Moscow and Tashkent.
