YURYEV Vasiliy in the 80s of the last century, upon graduating from Tashkent  Drama and Arts Institute, worked as a trainee in Moscow StPetersburg theatres. His works show significant influence of Russian scenery school – V.Levental, M.Kitaev and E.Kochergin, the last being his scientific tutor.

Since 1989 YURYEV Vasiliy has been the Head Artist of ILKHOM theatre. YURYEV’s staging is figurative and surprising. Vasiliy - as nobody else - knows and feels the nowadays ILKHOM.  While organizing a play space, the artist at maximum uses all the advantages and opportunities of the ‘inseparatability’ of the stage and the house.

Vasiliy YURYEV is the author of more than 50 theatrical projects – in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and other countries.
