Dear and beloved audience of Mark Weil’s Ilkhom Theatre!

We often hear from you that in our auditorium, where we have been working since 1976, it is cold and uncomfortable in winter. And in the summer it is very hot and stuffy. You are absolutely right. Our actors also, like you, work in this microclimate – and it is very difficult.
The current heating and air conditioning system in the auditorium of the Ilkhom Theater was installed 25 years ago – in 1996. Since then, we have tried to keep it in working order. But at the end of the last season, it became obvious that its working capacity has finally come to an end.
According to the latest UzHydroMet forecasts, a very cold winter awaits us. Including long frosts with temperatures from -2C to -10C. We need to prepare for this and make visiting the theater as comfortable as possible for you.
And this requires a complete replacement of the entire heating and air conditioning system. We need to heat up the auditorium, the foyer, the dressing rooms for the actors and the premises of our school, which is accepting a new intake of students this year.
As friends of the theatre, Italheat and the Club of Korean Businessmen Koryoin has developed an engineering project for us. The new system will cost us 220,000,000 soums, or $20,000. The Club and Italheat bear part of the costs – including installation and adjustment work. The theater will also try to cover part of the expenses on its own.
But without your help, we will not be able to cope with such a project. We resort to crowdfunding requests only when absolutely necessary, and this case has come.
