ART PROSPECT NETWORK RESIDENCIES

Residencies for artists and curators at the Art Prospect Network partner organizations in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan
The Art Prospect Network Residency program provides opportunities for artists and curators to conduct research, create new work, and collaborate with the local arts community in partnership with local arts organizations in the partner countries. Forty seven artists and curators from post-Soviet countries participated in the residency program in 2017-2018 and twelve US artists in 2021-2022.

The Art Prospect Network Residency program in 2022 will support residencies for up to twenty-five artists and curators from the US and Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan, focusing on exchange and collaboration in the field of socially engaged art and/or public art. Chosen through an open competition, the Art Prospect Network Residency Fellows will be placed at residencies at host organizations in the 12 Art Prospect Network countries.

Each Art Prospect Network partner offers a one-month residency to participate in a collaborative project, such as a public art festival or event, lead skill sharing programs, and/or conduct an independent project. Participants and host organizations work together to define the residency goals and structure based on their reciprocal interests, needs and strengths.
